5 Mistakes Every New Player Makes.

Welcome to Blue Protocol Star Resonance!

Jumping into a massive new anime MMO like Blue Protocol: Star Resonance (BPSR) can be a wild ride. With so many systems to learn, it’s easy to make a few mistakes that can slow down your progression.

This guide is here to give you the top 5 pro tips on what not to do. Avoid these common pitfalls, and you’ll be way ahead of the curve and on the fast track to the endgame.

Mistake 1: Multiclassing Too Early

It’s super tempting to unlock and try out all the different classes when you first start. While the game makes it seem easy, this is one of the biggest traps for new players.

The problem is that every class requires a huge investment of time-gated resources, especially the advanced books needed to level up your skill tree. These are hard to come by, so it’s much better to “vertically invest” all of them into one class to make it as strong as possible.

Changing classes also means you need to farm a completely new set of gear with different stats, level up new weapons, and get different Imagins. The pro move is to stick to one class and only start experimenting with alts once you’re deep into the endgame.

Mistake 2: Wasting Red Orbs on Cosmetics

Those flashy outfits in the shop look amazing, but blowing all your free Red Orbs (the premium currency) on them is a major L for your account’s progression.

The single most important use for your Red Orbs is the gacha system (Willwish). This is the main way you’ll get powerful SSR Imagins like Tina (the best DPS Imagin) and Irona (a great tank/support). It takes 12,000 orbs to guarantee an SSR, so you need to save every orb you get.

If you’re not pulling on the gacha, the next best thing is to check the Mystery Store for discounted progression materials, like advanced books or refining items. Only buy cosmetics once you’re well-established in the endgame.

Mistake 3: Not Joining a Guild ASAP

Playing solo in BPSR is a massive mistake. Guilds offer a ton of free, high-value rewards every single week, and it’s super easy to join one.

The number one reason to join a guild is for the Guild Store. Here, you can buy weekly Focus Potions, which are basically free stamina potions for your life skills. This alone gives you the equivalent of nine days’ worth of gathering in a seven-day week.

On top of that, you get access to weekly guild chests, guild hunts, and other valuable materials. There is no downside. Join a guild the second you log in.

Mistake 4: Selling All Your Materials on the Market

When a new MMO launches, the demand for crafting materials is at an all-time high. It can be tempting to sell everything you gather for a quick cash profit. Don’t do it.

BPSR is a resource management game at its core. That quick cash you make now will feel worthless later when your gear progression is weeks behind everyone else’s because you sold all your rare materials.

The most important item to hoard is Star Forge Crystals. These are a huge bottleneck for refining your gear, and they are very hard to get. Do not sell them!

Mistake 5: Refining Gear without Burmex Shards

The gear refinement system is a gamble. You have a success rate, and if you fail, you lose all the materials you invested in the attempt.

This is especially painful when you lose those super-rare Star Forge Crystals on a failed attempt. To avoid this, you should always use Burmex Shards when refining.

Using five Burmex Shards gives you a massive +25% boost to your success rate. It is never worth gambling on a low-percentage refinement. Be patient, craft or collect your shards, and guarantee your upgrades.
