Crown and Adventure – Full Recruitment Guide
If you’re struggling to recruit companions or complete their personal quests in Crown and Adventure, this updated recruitment guide covers all confirmed characters and their requirements as of the October 28th, 2025 patch.
Each recruitable character includes quest triggers, relationship requirements, locations, and verification notes.
🎯 Overview
This guide is designed for players starting in Chen-Yuan (default starting location).
Recruitment conditions can differ slightly depending on your Faction Reputation, Character Level, and Story Progression.

🌟 Main Story Recruits

| Oriana Sarin | Automatically recruited at the start of the mission “SILENT BRIGHT LIGHT.” |
🐉 Side Character Recruits (By Region)
Bu Liukong
- Location: Hezui Gorge.
- Requirements:
- Complete the “LIVE FOR ME” mission (second half of Froststar Mirror Lake).
- Reach Character Level 28+.
- Beat multiple sequential armies (solo legion restriction).
- Ends with a boss (~500K HP).
- Notes: Doesn’t require finishing Libraland story missions. Verified by Azudora (Oct 28).
He Siren
- Sends you a letter about a martial arts tournament at the Sword Trial Platform.
- Complete the entire tournament chain, ending with the mission “Martial Law.”
- Recruitable after completion.
- Note: Letter trigger condition still under verification.
Ji Yun
- First Encounter: Snowy region of Wu-Wei.
- Steps:
- Raise relationship to at least Normal.
- Complete mission “A SWEET DREAM.”
- Return to Shuang-Lin Town for her first quest.
- After Javier’s ruins exploration, A SWEET DREAM triggers automatically.
- Warning: Must defeat 4 legions (~150K CE) within 7 days.
Javier Cohen
- Found alongside Luo Shanshan.
- Start at Cheng-Hai Agency → Mission “Grudge in the Casket.”
- Complete the full mission chain to recruit him.
Flora Aurelian
- Mission: FADED BANNER
- Steps:
- In Luo-Shui, talk to the girl with the maid head accessory.
- Buy her flower → leave and re-enter area.
- Defend her against Caucaid attackers.
- Visit the Missionary Camp twice more, chasing survivors eastward.
- Recruit after gaining Familiar relationship level.
Kris Eterno
- Mission: SWORDSMAN AND VETERAN
- Steps:
- In Luo-Shui, speak with two NPCs to start quest.
- Visit the Pirate Camp (fight or pay).
- Visit Missionary Camp (fight or pay).
- Report back to Wang-Gui Yamen, start patrol route.
- Loop between Luo-Shui → Missionary Camp → Wang-Gui.
- After final fight, Kris joins automatically.
Lycoris Radiata
- Complete the full Huquan Sect dungeon questline.
- Final quest auto-triggers upon crossing the Huquan bridge in the northern snow region.
Xue Baiyi
- Appears after completing early quests with Gu Qianshan.
- Continue to Ma-Qia Village for recruitment mission.
Yelika Ilich / Anita Illich / Bernard Leavitt / Saya
- Found in Redpineland.
- Complete all Redpineland character quests to unlock chain progression.
- Order of recruitment:
- Complete both Yelika & Anita questlines.
- Finish Bernard’s subquests.
- Unlock Saya by completing “Gwana Doesn’t Believe in Tears.”
- All four storylines are interconnected and reputation-sensitive (recommended Rep 10–15).
Clem Sarn
- Triggered via Judicator Questline in Villenburg.
- Required to progress Darcy Raven’s recruitment.
Kelly Leland
- Recruited automatically during the Judicator Questline.
Darcy Raven
- Complete the Judicator Quest and all Tower of Sin missions.
- Defeat the 200K HP boss within Tower of Sin.
- After completing “The Child”, wait a few in-game days — another quest spawns near Tower of Sin.
- Complete it to recruit Darcy.
Cheng Pianzhou
- Appears once Gu Qianshan enters Caucaid.
- His questline starts in Luan City.
- Required to unlock Pei Xingzhong’s storyline.
Pei Xingzhong
- Location: Luan City.
- Requirements:
- Complete Cheng Pianzhou’s quests.
- Finish “Candle in the Night.”
- Reach Family Power 200K+.
Xiao Beige
- Found in Zhao-Yang.
- Complete all local questlines.
Rock Tang
- Complete “Foreign Hero” quest in Le-Chuan.
- One follow-up quest required to recruit.
Neil Hellason
- Found outside Villenburg or White River.
- Complete his unique encounter quest to unlock recruitment.
Kane Whiteflame
- Location: Berne
- Steps:
- Talk to the Wu-Wei merchant heading to Chen-Yuan.
- Escort mission triggers, with an ambush near Torch Castle.
- Kane intervenes in battle automatically.
- Meet him again in Corona City Tavern.
- Unlocks relationship tab → requires Familiar rank to recruit.
Ni Fangcheng
- 1st Quest: Kun-Long Gang Branch (solo legion battle; 50K CE enemy).
- 2nd Quest: Appears later in Zi-Fan.
Parren Wahat
- Mission: Awaken the Dragon – Located in Bone Burial Grounds.
- Must defeat a 200K Power dragon army and boss with 650K HP (solo legion).
- Unlocks high-tier loot and exclusive dialogue chain.

- Reputation Tips:
Some quests and recruits require a Reputation below 16. Progress carefully to avoid locking out early missions. - Exploration Zones:
Some battles restrict you to 1 legion (e.g., Bone Burial Grounds, Kun-Long Gang). Prepare balanced teams.
