A detailed community guide for completing every Europa Universalis V achievement. This list covers all currently known achievements as of the release version (November 2025). Strategies will be updated with new discoveries and balance patches.


Overview

Europa Universalis V introduces a completely overhauled achievement system featuring dynamic requirements tied to the new government, economy, and religion mechanics. Some classic achievements return from EU4 with reworked triggers, while others are entirely new and tied to the “Ages System” and “Cabinet Actions.”


Very Easy Achievements (8/13)

Till Death Do Us Part
Secure a Royal Marriage with another country.
🕹️ Start as France, unpause, and instantly send a royal marriage to any neighboring monarchy.

For the Glory
Diplomatically annex a subject.
💡 Start as England, send max gold to your vassal Chester, and integrate immediately once relations are high enough.

Cold War
Have a war without active battles for 3 years.
⚔️ Best done with small nations—declare war, occupy fully, then wait on speed 5.

That is Mine!
Conquer a location.
🎯 Start as Chuzan, declare a no-CB war on a neighbor and take their only province.

Victorious!
Win a war.
Unlocked automatically along with “That is Mine!”

It’s Just Business
Create a Market.
💰 Under the Economy tab, go to Markets → Create Market. Choose any location; loans may be required.

Rule of Law
Change a policy.
🏛️ Go to the Government > Laws tab and change your court language or administrative policy.

Patron of the Arts
Invite an Artist.
🎨 As Castile, go to Portugal’s diplomacy screen and use the “Invite Artist” option under Friendly Actions.


Easy Achievements (2/10)

Rule Britannia
Starting as England, form Great Britain and become Naval Hegemon.
🌊 Focus early on shipyards and dock expansion; control the Channel node for supremacy.

It Belongs in a Museum!
Gain a new Work of Art.
🎭 During the Age of Renaissance, you’ll receive an artist event. Wait for the completion notice to unlock.

A Cabinet of Curiosities
Have one active Cabinet Action in each category (Administrative, Diplomatic, Military).
📜 Simply fill all three cabinet slots as a kingdom or empire and unpause.

Medium Achievements (1/17)

The Three Mountains
Form Ryūkyū.
🏝️ Start as Chuzan, conquer Hokuzan and Nanzan rapidly in back-to-back wars, then form Ryūkyū before unpausing the second peace.

Just a Little Bit More Patience
Play from 1337 to 1836.
Enable autosaves, avoid bankruptcy or nation death. Achievement unlocks after campaign end.

Hard Achievements (1/9)

Welfare State
Have a market with 20,000 food in stock.
🌾 Easiest with Byzantium or Ming; build up grain surplus, develop markets, and stockpile until threshold.

Respected
Maintain 100 Prestige, 100 Legitimacy, and 100 Stability.
👑 Combine golden eras, religious unity, and stability investments to maintain triple 100s.

Very Hard Achievement (0/1)

What a Great Guy
Be present on every subcontinent.
🌍 A true world conquest requirement—must own at least one province on every subcontinent.


Notes and Tips

🧭 General Advice

  • Save before each major mission or reform.
  • Utilize the new “Cabinet Actions” to reduce cooldowns on reforms and diplomatic actions.
  • For long-term achievements like “Just a Little Bit More Patience,” disable Ironman autosave if your system struggles with memory limits.

All listed achievements verified on EU5 v1.0.3 (November 2025). Future patches may rebalance conquest requirements or add new content.
