Far Far West – The Complete Collectibles & Secrets Guide
If you’re a completionist trying to fully clear Far Far West, you already know that tracking down every last secret can be a serious headache. Some of these puzzles require specific sequences, while others span across entirely different maps.
Huge shoutout to Steam user Roach for originally compiling these locations. I’ve broken down everything you need to know to find the collectibles, solve the minigames, and unlock the secret areas across all seven maps.
Let’s get into it.
1. Far West
- The Bell Minigames (Green X’s): There are three green X marks on the map that aren’t labeled “finish”. These are shooting challenges. Interact with the bell on the ground, then shoot the bells in the sky in the exact order they appear. Don’t forget to pick up the ground bell once you succeed! (If you forget the order, just hit the ground bell again to replay it).
- The Turn-In (Finish X): Once you’ve completed all three bell minigames, head to the “finish” marker and interact with the bell at the top of the building.
- Yellow X: This is a mission location for the quest to unlock the Far Far North map.
- Purple X: This marks a secret symbol. Memorize or screenshot it—you will need it for the Area 41 master puzzle later.
2. Desert
- Cactus Family Reunion: This map’s secret is essentially a matching game. The Cactus parents (marked with “b” on the map) have lost their children (marked with “a”). You just need to return the kids to their respective parents. You don’t have to do it in numerical order; just make sure 1a goes to 1b, 2a goes to 2b, etc.
- Purple X: Another secret symbol for the Area 41 puzzle. Write it down!
3. Canyon
The Canyon features three unique minigames that reward you with puzzle medallions.
- North X (Dynamite): Grab some dynamite and blow up the rocks blocking the cave. The medallion is waiting at the end of the tunnel.
- West X (Target Practice): You need to shoot 10 glowing blue targets. The first one is right on the safe. Tip: Stand on top of the rock with the safe to get a better vantage point for finding the other nine. The medallion is inside the safe.
- East X (Digging): Grab one of the provided shovels and dig up the dirt mound slightly southeast of the X to find the medallion.
- The Turn-In (Finish X): Bring your three medallions here. You’ll find a fourth and final medallion at this location, along with a door featuring four slots. Slot them in to finish the secret.
- Yellow X & Purple X: Just like the previous maps, grab your Area 41 symbol (Purple) and your Far Far North quest progression (Yellow).
4. Woodlands
- The Mushroom Sequence: Head to the “finish” X first. You’ll find a map detailing the locations of seven mushrooms scattered around the island. You need to run around and interact with these mushrooms in the exact order shown on the map (1 through 7). Once you tap the 7th mushroom, return to the finish X and interact with the map one last time to complete the secret.
- Purple X: Grab your final Area 41 secret symbol here!
5. Area 41
- The Master Puzzle: It’s time to cash in those Purple X symbols you’ve been collecting from the Far West, Desert, Canyon, and Woodlands maps. Head to the green X on this map. You need to input the symbols you found in a specific order (the dots underneath the input slots tell you the order).
- Yellow X: Complete the mission here to finally unlock the Far Far North map.
6. Far Far North
- Build a Snowman: This one is pretty fun and straightforward. The green X’s on the map represent missing snowman parts. Just walk into them to start rolling them across the map toward the “finish” X to build your snowman and clear the map’s secret.
7. Jungle
(Note: While the community is still hunting down the exact triggers for the Jungle secrets, keep this map handy for plotting out your extraction points, disk locations, and danger zones during your runs!)
