Halloween 2025 Event Guide: Crimson Eye
BOO! Did I getcha? Ooooh… adulting, taxes, scary stuff. But what’s even scarier? The Crimson Eye has risen once again in Phasmophobia’s 2025 Halloween event!
Welcome back to another guide! Work through the darkness to banish the Moon Totems, avoid the corrupted ghost to earn Personal and Community rewards (drip? get it? nudge nudge). Have a great time and a wonderful holiday <3
This guide covers the following:
- Event Overview: How to take part in this year’s event, plus personal and community goals!
- Moon Totems: How you can track down totems.
- Rewards: What you can get for your own achievements and as a community.
Introduction
“Oh, Crimson Eye of the Eternal Night, under your blood-stained light I beseech thee to hear our call once more.”
Hey there! Welcome back to another guide! The Blood Moon rises once again, empowering the paranormal. And guess what? It’s our job to deal with it… again. Just like last year, there are maps claimed by the Blood Moon and totems scattered across that need to be destroyed.
You only need to interact with the Totems to destroy them (no more extra steps), and the rewards should be better balanced (hopefully)
Venture into the darkness polluted with evil across 7 Blood Moon-taken maps and banish the it once more.
A quick warning, though: The Blood Moon isn’t exactly a fan of people messing with its totems. Touching them might just have some… unexpected consequences.
But hey, it’ll be fine, probably. Let’s dive into the details!
Crimson Eye Event
Moon Totems
Moon Totems are creepy little pillars that spawn on Blood Moon maps. The strife of homeowners, pride of the paranormal, and easy points for us! They’re spawned randomly in fixed spots across the map—once you learn their locations, tracking them down should be easy.
To destroy a Moon Totem, you need to interact with it, after it will evaporate and give you +1 Blood Point at the end of the investigation, counting towards both personal and community rewards.
So, why are Blood Points important, and what do you even do with them? Glad you asked — let’s Dean Kamen right into it. (Seegwaaaayy!)
Blood Points
Blood Points, or Event points are currency earned during your investiagtion on Blood Moon maps. These contribute to your Community and Personal Goal gauges
Stage progress is based on points—you’ll earn them by doing things like identifying ghosts and tracking Forest Minions. This what you’ll get for different tasks:
- Finding Moon Totems: 2 pt – Interact with a Moon Totem to destroy it
- Complete Optional Objectives: 3 pt – Each Side Objective will give you 3 points (each?)
- Identify Ghost Correctly: 10 pt – Correctly identify the ghost for a huge boost in points.
- Difficulty Multiplier: 1-15 pts – For every 1x in difficulty, you get 1 extra point. So a x15 multiplier grants an extra 15pts.
These points go towards a gauge in the previously mentioned Event board and gradually fill as you finish investigations. Once full you will unlock the different rewards. All players contributes to the Community reward, but you only you can contribute points towards the personal Rewards. If you’re curios to see the rewards head here…
You’ll earn extra points based on difficulty, with one point per multiplier. For example, x8 (Professional) gives 8 extra points for a correct ghost identification.
Blood Moon Maps

The Crimson Eye event has 7 maps in a pool, which rotates 4 active maps daily that also guarantees Blood Moon weather. You can only earn Blood Points on these maps. But you may still get Blood Moon weather on non-acive maps and earn points on those? (TBT)

To find active maps, head to the Map Board and look for maps with the moon icon. Note: These maps empower ghosts, they will be faster and sanity will drain 1.5x faster. But rewards received during Blood Moon weather will be boosted by 10%.
The above maps will be this year’s event locations; 6 Tanglewood Drive, Camp Woodwind, Grafton Farmhouse, Bleasdale Farmhouse, Point Hope, 42 Edgefield Road, 13 Willow Street
Feel free too repeat any active map as much as you like!
The Blood Moon
Crimson Eye maps have a forced weather effect called Blood Moon. It isn’t just cosmetic, no, these have an effect on your investigation and most importantly, the ghost.
Blood Moon maps have the following modifiers:
- More events (very active ghosts, even shades!)
- Passive Sanity Drain increased by 100%
- Ghost Speed is 15% faster during hunts,
- Contract payout increased by 10%
6 Tanglewood Drive

Boy’s Bedroom: The first Moon Totem in Tanglewood may be found in the Boy’s Bedroom. As you enter on the right dresser, next to the globe.

Main Bathroom: If you had no luck in the boys bedroom, which feels strange saying out loud, check the main bathroom to the left, sometimes a Moon Totem spawns in the bath.

Foyer: Two Moon totems can spawn in the Foyer. #1 is found as you head inside the building, take a left from the door and just outside the Nursery. #2 is by continuing straight ahead from the entrance and on the left turn against the wall.

Nursery: A Moon Totem can spawn on the changing table inside the nursery. If that says anything about the ghosts behaviour.

Living Room

Kitchen: Another can be found on the stove in the Kitchen.

Dining Room: By the dining room door, behind the table is a Moon Totem.
Basement: Two can be found In the basement. Check by some boxes as you enter. Then at the back left near where the Ouija Board spawns.
Master Bedroom Closet: Check the Master Bedrooms closet, a Totem might be shut away.
