The New Walrus Glove Has Arrived

A new glove has just dropped in Slap Battles, and it’s a chonky one. Say hello to the Walrus Glove!

This new glove comes with a Power of 52 and a Speed of 15. Its unique ability is called “Tusk Rider,” which you can activate by pressing the ‘E’ key.

Activating the ability summons a massive walrus that you can ride around the arena. This is a great way to reposition or just flex on your opponents. To get off the walrus, all you have to do is jump.

New Feature: Glove Trials

Ever wanted to try out an expensive glove before you commit to the grind? Now you can! The new Glove Trial system lets you test-drive gloves for a limited time.

When you select a glove you don’t own, you’ll see a “Try It” option. This will give you a 5-minute trial of the glove. After the five minutes are up, your character will die, and the glove will be unequipped.

There are a few important rules for Glove Trials:

• You can only trial a specific glove once.
• You cannot earn badges while using a trial glove.
• The Detonator glove is not available for trial.
• Brand new gloves (like the Walrus) cannot be trialed until two weeks after their release.

Major Avatar Reworks

The Avatar glove has received some significant changes in this update, making it more dynamic to play.

• When you die as an Avatar, you now respawn at your death location instead of the starting area.
• You now gain brief invincibility frames (i-frames) when you respawn, complete with a visual indicator.
• Clones now spawn randomly from a portal in the sky.
• There’s a new 50-power upgrade that lets you create a temporary hatch portal, allowing you to enter the hatch from anywhere on the map.

Balance Changes and Quality of Life Updates

This update also includes a handful of tweaks to other gloves and general game systems.

• Wormhole: The Mastery (R) ability can no longer be used over the void.
• Lure: The inactive timer for a lured player now correctly disappears if that player dies.
• Detonator: Any marks placed on players will now disappear if the Detonator user dies.
• UI: The glove inventory has been updated with some improved visual effects.
